I glance at this thread sometimes but I know ebay and seriously doubt any more bargains can be had on there....maybe ten years ago or when I started in 2007 but rarely now.
Lots of chancers asking silly money for just about anything now and too many small dealers upping the ante
I think there is still the odd bargain to be had. As an example, I currently have a turntable on its way to me from Germany. It's in good condition, apart from a scratch or two on the lid, and full working order. It was up for £50 and I was the only bidder - the last one on UK eBay went for over £300!!
Engineers: fixing problems you didn't know you had in ways you don't understand.

The other arm is an old Ortofon, probably with a mono cartridge.
As you say, a high price but you must remember it’s not cheap to muck up a wonderful turntable with Japanese silliness. Feeding the unicorns is an expensive business, for a start.
