    Depends how much you want one. If they were still made, you'd probably pay around a grand.

    for a grand your into audio technica art-9 territory,the ortofon is good but no where near that good.

    It is rumoured that Ortofon never recovered the cost of development of the MC25FL; they made a loss on each one sold. Because of that the cartridge was not in production for long. But it could all be an old wive tale!

    Whatever the story, it is a very, very good cartridge (easily up there with the Denon 103) and IMO superior to the Ortofon MC20 and MC30 etc.

    A Schiit Mani sold for £330 on Sunday, I know it's apparently seriously good... Schiit and in short supply at the moment?
