    I knew someone who had built Kef kit 3 speakers with a concrete enclosure. The enclosures were clad externally with veneered chipboard.

    They weighed a ton, and were stood on stands made from Dexion strip; which somewhat let the side down!

    You never see these - Wharfedale CRS9 - from the early 1990s.

    I had the CRS3 for a while, the little ones, they were really good. Always wondered what the big ones would be like.
