    I found out today my dad used to own these 20 years ago and sold them for £130 -

    Pye HF/8 from 1956

    Selling by HI-FI House for the guy dad sold them too - the Yamaha NS 18's were dads too

    The height of my dad's listening (at least at the height of my embarrassed-adolescent phase) was a tape of Shep's Banjo Boys in his Ford Capri ... claimed to be a jazz lover but didn't like 'that modern stuff' basically anything conceptually after about 1928 ... of course the British trad jazz revival was what he grew up into.

    How long ago did he sell them? That would have been a fair price years ago when valves were out of fashion. I suspect you might have to pay a fair whack to get them back now.

    The ad says the system is from 1991 which looks about right for the electronics but I reckon those speakers are from the early 1980s or maybe late 1970s.
