Picked this one up for £1 in charity shop today, a USA 1st pressing and NM+/NM.

Probably not everyones flavour this one, but from a recording point of view it's a stunner, amazing dynamics, punch and production, you just sit back and get blasted away with the big band, the vocals are recorded beautifully. The engineer certainly knew his stuff and did a great job.

Listening is the act of aural discrimination and dissemination of sound, and accepting you get it wrong sometimes.

Thought I’d try this, might be a keeper. Like Satrianni on steroids, I need a lie down.

You should be chuffed - that's quite a rare album now!! Not many good examples (usually scratched etc) of it are around - I think there were only a few hundred made of it . I prefer the vinyl version of it because you can really hear the songs mix into each other really well but the CD version doesn't quite deliver that mixing quite as well. I prefer the sound quality of CD though (I dont want to start the debate of which sounds better, CD or Vinyl (although I'm always biased toward CD even though the odd album sometimes does come across better on Vinyl).

I'll leave the debate to the purists !!!!!!!!

Not sure why this album appeals to me, it just does. So I've put in an offer on one on Ebay which claims the vinyl to be NM. I'll find out later if my offer's been accepted (they usually are). Nothing like the bargains you and Lawrence got though.
