As I said, with the exception of The Levellers, all were bought 'on spec'. At 50p each, I'm always willing to take a punt on something that interests me.

I do rather like it, though there is nothing exceptional about it. A bit too early to decide whether to keep it or not - it need another spin or two. As an aside, why do some modern CDs (as this one) have 'Easter eggs' recorded at the end? What is the point of it?

'Emotional Rescue' is one of the better of the Stones later albums. I'm afraid I started to loose interest after 'Exile on Main Street'.

No worries, and yes EM is rather good. I have all the Stones albums on vinyl, and like you prefer their earlier stuff, but also don't discount their more recent output. My favourite track on EM is 'Down in the Hole', as it's just so raw and bluesy:

And it sounds really awesome on my system!

I 'found' them late [much like many bands from the 60s and 70s], because as an '80s boy', all that type of music largely passed me by, so have only really been appreciating it for the last 20 years or so...

Anyway, next up tonight, some classic Zappa (on original vinyl):

Ooh, you just can't beat a nice bit of Alice, I had forgotten just how good their albums were, each one was a classic, and pretty varied.
