Last one from me for now, I've got a lunch to cook or our friends will go hungry.

    Come on summer...

One of these days... I'm going to cut you into little pieces.

For 20quid you can't really go wrong with Chromecast. Even if all you do is play YouTube videos on your tv. We very rarely watch TV as such and are always casting different shows and movies instead.
We don't own or watch TV Rich, may watch some catch up on the computer ( if told about good show etc). I was at a friends house a while back, there was a show on TV about people watching TV, could not get my head round that. Googlebox i think it was called.

Good on you... I could live without one easily but Mrs B does enjoy a decent series or two. Unfortunately the main system cohabits the living room so we take our turns and have both music and movie nights.

I've seen that Gogglebox a few times, its actually hilarious as its basically people taking the pee out of TV... The comedian Charlie Brooker actually sums up my feelings about TV here and pays a nice tribute to Ian Dury.

Oh my god! There's nothing wrong with the bidet is there?

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”
