A mainly digital setup with a musical amplifier and endearing 1970's speakers. A CD player that hardly ever gets used and a turntable that is good enough to remind my how enjoyable my old vinyl is. Some cables and things.

Time to get my cat suit, stacks and make up out, this is such a good Bowie album and the 180gm pressing is superb.

Listening is the act of aural discrimination and dissemination of sound, and accepting you get it wrong sometimes.

Analog Inputs: Pro-Ject Signature 10 TT & arm, Benz Micro LP-S, Michel Cusis MC, Goldring 2500 and Ortofon Rondo Blue cartridges, Hitachi FT5500 mk2 Tuner

Digital:- Marantz SA-KI Pearl CD player, RaspberryPi/HifiBerry Digi+ Pro, Buffalo NAS Drive

Amplification:- AudioValve Sunilda phono stage, Krell KSP-7B pre-amp, Krell KSA-80 power amp

Output: Wilson Benesch Vector speakers, KLH Ultimate One Headphones

Cables: Tellurium Q Ultra Black II RCA & Chord Epic 2 RCA, various speaker leads, & links

I think I am nearing audio nirvana, but don’t tell anyone.

    Cool Elbow - Little Fictions

Confession time - I like everything they do - great music and lyrics and Garvey's voice is wonderful.

Guy Garvey did a question and answer session at the Manchester Festival a few years back (with Dave Haslam) and arrived on stage with a bottle of Highland Park. (Good choice but kept it to himself!) He told the audience that when "One day like this" was released Elbow were approached by an ad agency and were offered £1million+ to use the track behind a Weetabix ad. They turned it down because they would have lost control of how their music was used. He said it was a tough decision to make because at the time they were only just breaking through with album sales and several of the band had young families to support.

Last saw them live at Jodrell bank with the telescope dish as backdrop, great night despite the weather - pi55ed down from start to finish.
