Listened to Genesis this morning - And Then There Were Three this morning
Currently on the TT is - Magnum - Chase the Dragon
Magnum sort of passed me by until recently as I came across one of their albums for £2. If you are into Prog/Hard Rock then this and the following albums "The Eleventh Hour" and "On a Storyteller's Night" are well worth a listen. Good copies can be a bit pricey though, I was lucky.

I think I am nearing audio nirvana, but don’t tell anyone.
And onto another Hard Rocker, Trust - Reperession, this really is a must have if your into hard rock, I came across this in a charity shop not knowing anything about them.
They are a French band, this is their 3rd album and is available in French and English, this is the English version. Front wikipedia, "The band was best known for guitarist Norbert "Nono" Krief's prowess, for Bernard "Bernie" Bonvoisin's voice reminiscent of AC/DC's Bon Scott and for his lyrics about social and political themes. Iron Maiden's drummers Nicko McBrain and Clive Burr were part of Trust line-up in the 1980s."
Anyway they rock!

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy.”
“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”
There's nothing remarkable about it. All one has to do is hit the right keys at the right time and the instrument plays itself. -- Johann Sebastian Bach.“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”
I know I'm goin' nowhere, and anywhere's a better place to be.

All this Bowie talk got me to pull my Ziggy out
David Bowie - The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars .. first press by look of it too.. 1e, 1e matrix'es...nice enough nick for age too.
Still sounds great, although could do with a light clean.

Waiting for my newly purchased 180gm versions of Ziggy, Aladdin Sane, Low, Heroes and Scary Monsters from Whatrecords to arrive, all for £79.95, which I thought was good value, I hope they are good pressings. I went this route after a disagreement in a 2nd hand Vinyl shop when I offered £10 for each for the same, and they were all re-releases from early 80's and only in VG+ condition, they had only paid about £2 each in a job lot for them.![]()
