Listening to Hawklords,25 years on,for the first time since I was in a squat on the 13th floor of a block of flats in 1989.Spotify must be the single best thing about the internet, imagine back in 89 someone telling you that you’d have virtually all the music ever recorded on something the size of a cigarette packet!

Picked this up on Amazon for £20, Pete's(gwernaffield's) recommendation, and it is worth every penny, great songs and music. I have heard a few of Nick Cave's songs but never really listened to him before and IMO he is right up there with Lou Reed.

Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds* ‎– Lovely Creatures (The Best Of Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds) (1984 – 2014)
    Label: Mute ‎– LPSEEDS15, BMG ‎– LPSEEDS15
    Format: 3 × Vinyl, LP, Compilation, Remastered, 180 g
    Country: UK & Europe
    Released: 05 May 2017
    Genre: Rock
    Style: Alternative Rock, Post-Punk, Punk

Listening is the act of aural discrimination and dissemination of sound, and accepting you get it wrong sometimes.

Analog Inputs: Pro-Ject Signature 10 TT & arm, Benz Micro LP-S, Michel Cusis MC, Goldring 2500 and Ortofon Rondo Blue cartridges, Hitachi FT5500 mk2 Tuner

Digital:- Marantz SA-KI Pearl CD player, RaspberryPi/HifiBerry Digi+ Pro, Buffalo NAS Drive

Amplification:- AudioValve Sunilda phono stage, Krell KSP-7B pre-amp, Krell KSA-80 power amp

Output: Wilson Benesch Vector speakers, KLH Ultimate One Headphones

Cables: Tellurium Q Ultra Black II RCA & Chord Epic 2 RCA, various speaker leads, & links

I think I am nearing audio nirvana, but don’t tell anyone.

    The Grid - Evolver (1994)

Can't remember the last time I played this album - probably not in the last 10 years at least. The only track you'll probably recognise is "Swamp Thing" - when googling for the cover image I found the official video for it. Dozens of Pod speakers. A toddler. This isn't a music video, it's an audiophile's nightmare!

Album Trivia: One of those albums with a really annoying "secret track" at the end - it was a 90's thing - frightens the crap out of you when you think the CD has finished then a couple of minutes later it starts up again! (In this case, with an answerphone message.)
