If I find that I no longer enjoy an LP as I once did, I will pass it on. During the '80s, there were a number of bands who produced what I would call "Ephemeral Pop (or Rock)". I bought loads of albums under that heading, enjoyed them, and then passed them on. They were not 'great music' by any means, and I don't miss them.
I have been buying albums for the last 55 years; tastes change - what I liked at the start, I don't necessarily like now.

It’s interesting how we differ, I still very much enjoy the familiar music I latched onto in the late 60s, 70s and 80s, some of which I have continued to listen to over the last 50 years. I have also discovered recently some I missed from those eras. I also like you have found more newer music, but have found that a challenge for the 00s and 10s, the 90s were a bit of right off for me as well with a few exceptions.Originally Posted by Barry
