Talking of Japan (A favourite band of mine) Japan - 1978 - Obscure Alternatives. I love ALL Japan's output of music, I particularly like all the earlier stuff upto Gentlemen Take Polaroids; Tin Drum was a radical change in direction but is still a great album in fact, each Japan album is a work of art as they are all so very different from eachother in their style. My favourite is possibly Quiet Life but, as I said, THEY ARE ALL FANTASTIC ALBUMS!!

So we start the morning with the thunderous kick drum of Glen Power on the opening track, “We Cry” from their 2008 self titled debut album.

The album saw the release of five singles and album sales of 5 x Platinum in their home country of Ireland whilst selling 4 x Platinum in the UK and topping the album charts in both countries.

Default Spinning Today - What Are You Listening To Right Now? (Part 3)

Next up another band driven by the incredible song writing talents of Paul Heaton. This 1996 six time Platinum compilation is testament to his incredibly diverse lyrics and ability to tell a story whilst you are carried along by the catchy chorus ! I have tickets to see Paul Heaton in December at the Co-Op Arena Manchester, a artist who is happy for his tickets to be sold at face value and not inflated by so called “Dynamic” ticket pricing !

    Tracklist:

    Song For Whoever. 4:06
You Keep It All In. 2:54
I'll Sail This Ship Alone. 4:06
    A Little Time. 3:01
