    Default Tape/Cassette Deck ideas/recomendations?

Looking at getting a tape deck after finding a cheap 1990s Technics one in a charity shop (sadly left channel was muffled when I got it home so no good )

Any recommendations? Looking for something cheap but reliable. Sound quality over features.
I didn't even know that Mutya had left the Sugarcubes.

You can buy a decent nakamichi deck for about £100 if your willing to spend that much.

For a nakamichi I might fork out a bit... I only know their name though, are there any classic models? (or ones to avoid)

Get in contact with Alex (post above ^) what he doesn't know about cassette decks isn't worth knowing + he reconditions, repairs and modifies cassette decks to a very high standard. I have heard one of his machines at an audio show and frankly it seriously challenged a top flight turntable that had been playing in the same room. In fact most folks entering the room possibly didn't even realise a cassette deck was the source playing as the sound was that good.

I gave up on Naks always went for the late 80's 3 Head Techy cassette decks there after like the 'RS-B775' & 'RS-B905' if you can live with digital level meters. I could not nowadays..

If i were to buy another Cassette machine it would be a Techy '9900' Two box machine,
