Well the tuner to go for in the 70's was the Yammi 'CT-7000' However i found a lot of tuners from back then to be good.. The Quad 'FM3' as mentioned is a loverly looking & sounding thing but you need an amp with mains switching as it does not have it's own power switch..

If ever a speaker was designed to be used with the grills on. I remember these, an interesting design with its combination of dipole and box mounted drivers - horribly built though and some of the drivers were pretty poor - odd that more speakers don't use three different types of tweeter all at once ....
