Alan, you are clearly a man with impeccable music taste! Every single person who loves rock music has been touched by Hendrix (even if they don't actully realise the influence of that true creative colossus).

I saw Martin Turner Plays Wishbone Ash band (odd name but it is for legal reasons) last Saturday - flippin awesome. Martin is nearly 70 (and has chain smoked since he was 12) but he shows no sign of slowing down. I even got to have a long chat with him after the gig too. All that for £12. What more could you want? It really is a show worth seeing and Martin's tour is far from over. Ticket details here: http://www.martinturnermusic.com/

    Cheers, Steve

    Welcome to AoS Steve.

Great introduction - I'm glad to see you decided to join us of your own volition and not because Chris and I nagged you to join!

There are several members here who use Goldring turntables, so I'm sure you will have plenty to talk about.
Sadly fewer use Accuphase equipment, probably beacause they were not promoted much in the UK. When they were, they were considerably more expensive than the competition and at the time (the early seventies), the UK audio scene was going through a decidedly 'Buy British' phase with the Linn/Naim hegemony being disproportionately dominant.

Looking forward to seeing some photos in The Gallery.

You seem to have a refreshingly broad taste in music (no doubt inculcated by sitting next to Chris at work!) Well done.

    Regards
    Barry

Hang on a mo' - I never encouraged him to like Wham. You can't pin that on me!

Hi Steven and a warm welcome to AOS from me.
I'm glad to see someone with Accuphase gear - they have a loyal, almost cult, following in this part of the world.
    Enjoy your stay!
    Cheers

Aha! Like the sound of that! All hail the Greeks!

It's a bit more complicated over here in Blighty but hopefully I can get to the bottom of this country's 'Accuphaseitus'.

Are there any Accuphase dealers in Greece worth checking out? Greece's Accuphase distributor, Nick John Laios, doesn't seem to have a website!

    Cheers

    Steve

I think the correct medical term is 'Kensonic Labophobia'
