    Default APE file format

I got a couple of discs stored in the APE format but I can't find a suitable burner, converter or program to mount them. Anyone knows much about this format?

This may also be of help http://www.simplehelp.net/2007/05/13...using-windows/ , although it seems to point to Monkeys Audio being a Mac App.

Actually MAC could also be Monkeys Audio something or other.

Just tried MAC 406.exe found here http://www.monkeysaudio.com/download.html and it seems to run ok in Windoze XP Pro.

The Foobar2000 APE plugin works fine, as does MAC406.exe for compression/decompression of files.

    All done using XP Pro.

They seem to play in Media Monkey. No track listings though.
