But to admit it was real would mean he had gone mad. Any way I can't wait for the ninth book! I have to buy them in hardback too because I dont like waiting for paperback-its a bit expensive.

    Hi All,

DevillEars is a construction based on my surname (= de Villiers) and is one I've used on all forums mainly due to early onset Alzheimer's and the need to avoid cluttering the mind with useless and unnecessary detail...

NB: There is no hidden "Satanist" connotation!

    Dave "DevillEars" de Villiers

Sorry to hear that, Dave. Are you taking an interest in Terry Pratchett's progress? He is on TV quite a lot these days and speaks very openly about the disease.

My apologies - my somewhat weird sense of humour can get me into awkward situations.

I don't have Alzheimer's - its just something of a standing joke between my wife and I - each accusing the other on a regular basis (or using it as an excuse for forgetting a birthday, anniversary, etc.)

Maybe I should switch to "FOOT IN MOUTH DISEASE"?

No problem - better than having it for real.
