Default Naim Hi-Cap DR (new) vs Olive Supercap (S/H)

As the title suggests compare and contrast?

For Naim system users which would you go for?

Based on my limited experience with Olive Supercap v Hi-Cap DR, I would suggest it's a swings and roundabouts thing but there isn't a huge difference either way. Bear in mind, that if it hasn't been done, the Supercap will need a service. If you go with a Hi-Cap DR, I would suggest you try at home as all the DR produccts I had through my hands were very noisy.

I cannot speak for the HiCap DR, but I have a serviced olive supercap feeding my 82, and it does really let the 82 show its true potential. It has been one of the best upgrades so far for me, in particular because it brought some more substantial body to the sound, whilst improving almost all other aspects. I guess your decision might depend on what you are looking to power?

Reviving this old thread, I would welcome some current observations?

    As above, post 2.

    Nothing's changed.
