    Default 'ow do

    Hi

Just found this forum. I like it.

My system consists of a Rotel RCD 965BX Discrete, Albarry PP1 amp both owned from new (well over 20 years old). A pair of Monitor Audio Silver RS1s on Atacama Aurora 6 stands. Other sources are a Foxsat-HDR Freesat box & Apple TV with iPad Air (Apple TV is going via a Sony TV to amp at the moment). All connects are Chord stuff. Phones are Sennheiser Momentums as they work well with Apple stuff, probably need a pair of Grados in the future.

I have just ordered a Beresford Bushmaster II with a couple of digital cables as I have been investigating using my iPad as a media player & converting my CD collection to FLAC for archive & ALAC for playing via iPad & Apple TV. It looks like it will work for me, wasn't sure at first - bit of a dinosaur regarding sounds - but it seems a really easy way of playing stuff. Need to consider a better source media player, any recommendations, especially if I can control it from iPad. That would be nice.

Stuff is varied from female vocal, Mary Black, Tasmin Archer, Norah Jones, Tanita Tikaram type, 70s music especially early Elton John, Cat Stevens, etc. A little classical now & again. If I like it I will buy it & listen to it.

I would also be interested in trying higher resolution music although reading around I'm not sure if the emperor's just bought some new clothes.

    I'll now consider myself introduced.

    Cheers
    Si
