    Just a quick thanks to Steve for sorting out a 12in tonearm I bought, it was a fairly well-constructed DIY effort (as far as it went) but unfinished.

    Steve fixed up an end plug for the wiring to go onto, as well as attending to the earthing, and then sorted out my arm board as well. Lovely job.

    Here are some more projects made to order that I've been completing;

    This time a tonearm board for Jazzbones' Techi but in a different wood than ebony;

    Can you guess what it is to become?

    Rough face off and recessed

    Dished

    Fitted out for Linn arms

    (in flash it looks like this - its not that dark)

    In warmer light like this

    Still final rubbing down and polishing to go.

    As for the wood. It's African Blackwood. Slightly more dense than Ebony and harder. Nice grain to it.

    One more for BobC of the Wam to go under his amazing plinths

    and an ongoing bass horn project: 1.2m exponentials that will be fitted out with a 15" bass drivers.
    Designed and modelled this to give optimal performance 80Hz to 400Hz. This will be part of a 5 way system.

    Here is the African Blackwood armboard all finished and suitably polished.
    Beautiful grain and markings to this wood.

    Here's a large collet (145mm in diameter) that was a rush job for one of BobC's turntables in time for Scalford

    Here's a pic of recent pair of armboards I made for Mike in the USA.

    African Blackwood on the left, Ebony on the right.

    The armbases are for Ortofon RS-212 and AS-212 arms
