Customer pictures of the solid Ebony armboard for Technics SL-1210GR record deck fitted with Acoustic Signature TA-500 tonearm. Tight but doable.

Here's an ebony armboard and fitting job for a gloss black plinthed SP-10.

The thin copper mat, and tall Stax arm and base, meant with the existing MDF veneered armboard was not low enough.

The Stax arm was very interesting. I've not seen one before.
3 interchangeable arm tubes. 2 S shaped and one straight.

    Nice setup.

Here's an Armpod and counterweight job that made it to Oz in record time (thanks Transglobal Express).

It's an ultra low but larger diameter pod, full of cast lead for high mass.

2 interchangeable armboards, one for Rega 3 point and one for Linn.

Finished in satin black and natural polished ebony.

The stainless steel counterweight is an Alphason heavy work nylon damper insert.

    Turning the feet discs

    Heavy counterweight

Here's an armboard replication in aluminium. 10mm thick.
    From finish to start.

Black lacquer and M3 caphead bolts for SME armbase mounting.

Etch primer phase. This gives a secure base on the aluminium for the top coats of lacquer.

The bare aluminium board. All fitting holes and shaping done

Cut to shape. Alongside the wooden board it will replace

Will be posted off once the lacquer is fully hardened.

Progress catch-up on a pair of mid bass horns I'm making.

They will be used in a 4/5 way full spectrum horn system.

    18mm premium birch plywood.
    1.2m long. Exponential horn flare.
    Frequency usage 100Hz to 400Hz.
Eminence Kappa 12A 12" bass drivers.

Driver chamber and bracing to do.

These will fine articulate, fast and tuneful mid bass.

Simon of Simon Mears Audio asked me to make an improved jig to hold spokeshave blades during sharpening.

    9mm brass was chosen.
    Various shapings, drillings and fittings.
