A lot of collective smarts went into their development (shout out to Scottmooose and the guys at Audiotalk), and (in my opinion, having heard all subsequent versions) the first time was the right time.

Regards the spikes. As Gaza commented they are removable just 6mm threaded inserts in the base. So the 2 sets of telefunkens will either be sold or drivers stripped if no one localish is interested as postage is out.
Turntable and its parts etc and phono stage and record cleaner will also go.
