He came up with the original Glenfiddich recipe, his photo used to be in the wee museum they had at the distillery in Dufftown, they also had his copper cup that he used for tasting on display, the 'Brewers Cup'
Sadly the museum is no longer there, or it wasn't when we visited a few years ago.
There's a book that I can't remember the name of that has his photo in about the whisky in and around Dufftown and you'd think it was me standing there.
