Sorted the off balance problem, and its playing fine now. A bit of hum if my body is close to it. Odd that. Still, although perhaps a tad bass light,( doesnt have much in way of capacitance in it) its a nice sound.

That Ferrograph plays lovely tunes with its 20W output though and I thought the midrange had some shape and substance to it, if not up to modern well designed small amps. The Pioneer didn't do it for me the same way.

P.S. Just to note also that ten-thirty on the volume controls with a 2V CD source is basically clipping point on the F307. Appreciate that most CD's are not fully modulated to 100% all the time but just thought I'd mention it.
