    called ?.... yes a cat 7 party I intend moving speakers over to window eventually so will need to run a long cable round as the hifi will go over too into corner. reckon 20 metres will do it. Dont nes need 7 but have used it before and thought it good. Currently using 6

    LAN party - Local Area Network party - where a bunch of gamers gather together to play interactive games over high speed ethernet (= low latency). Cat 7 ethernet cables are ideal for this. Hence the question.

    Sorry, I'll try not be so obscure in the future.

    So you use ethernet cable for speaker cable then? I must try that at some point. I've got loads of ethernet cable on a roll from a previous project.

    no, i dont.. but if i move speakers i will need to move system, and the ethernet is on wrong end of room. so will need to run a connecting cable all way round and over the door. Reckon 20 m is enough. it either that or i have to run speaker cable or rca's.
