Nope. It goes without saying that if someone else has a contrary experience of the same product being discussed, then they are perfectly entitled to share that experience. For example, if you had tried the new Ultimates and found them to be crap, you could of course say so here.

What isn't permitted on threads like this is someone thread-crapping the discussion by posting their negative comments about 'fancy mains leads' in general, which is contrary to the topic that the OP wants to discuss.

We're not trying to gag anyone here, Joe; merely ensuring that things are fair and discussions are kept in their appropriate place

I know where you're coming from, dude, but I think Martin wanted to differentiate between this thread and his proper review of the new Ultimates in SOG, so we'll leave things as they are.

Btw, at a later stage I'd like to have a listen to one of the new cables and compare it what I have now, and if I perceive it as better, I'll have my existing Ultimates upgraded to MK III status, and pay you for the privilege. Anyway, I'll contact you when I have time to arrange that
