Oh I know lol, I used to fall off mine regularly, to the extent that my dad called me the 'horizontal champion'!Fortunately, I didn't do myself any major harm, as the accidents were at low speeds.
The fun factor makes up for the risk, though, especially when you're younger. The princess would love me to get one, as she LOVES going fast on the back of bikes (and she'd probably look quite good in leathers), and gets silly-excited on bikes, but it's not likely to happen.

no guy had helmet on... hit back of a flatbed that had broken down at side of road.. he just ploughed into it at neck height.. nasty, but quick. tbf, if he had been in a car it would likely have been a similar ending.
