However, he's still serving me by processing my payment, rather than doing it myself at a pump, which I much prefer. That's also the case if I choose to buy anything in the shop. I take it to the counter and he processes the payment; I'm not scanning it in myself.
Indeed... So you agree that it was a much nicer/more human experience? If so, how does paying at the pump qualify as being BETTER, other than it simply being quicker and more convenient?
Is that ultimately what matters most to you? If so, we have rather different priorities in life, which is fair enough
Marco.
Eeh, what you like, you...
For some time now my priority seems to have been getting you to understand that your kiosk buddy is not really serving you when you buy fuel. Your priority (on this thread) is to ignore this point and make some unlikely comparisons!
Yes it would have been nice to have someone SERVE you (as was the case at Ullswater), but that was mostly before my time. It was also a far cry from your man who just sits behind his counter farting for Wales and waiting for you to bring payment to him
Your apparent reluctance to interact with bank tellers and grans at the post office hasn't been addressed yet either...
In truth I'm not sure what your priority is - dealing with a real human being as opposed to a machine/robot is of paramount importance, unless there's somewhere you'd rather be, in which case it isn't I on the other hand will always make time for other folk, in all circumstances. This post (which has taken me for ever to type) is a case in point
