It was an automatic, so had a 'bench' seat at the front. But it was the first of a run of Daimlers and Jaguars he drove. His final car was a Daimler 'Double Six' 5.3 litre V12.Very nice, Barry, and it would've also been very 'you'

Again an automatic with leather seats, power steering, and by then air-con, it was extremely heavy on petrol. There was a display on the dash, which gave you the 'real time' MPG you were achieving. Up hill it would in single figures, down hill it would be something like 25 mpg!
That said it was a very nice car to drive, but would have been too expensive for me to run, and maintain. The tyres were about £100 apiece, and that was twenty years ago.

Son just got me a big mobility scooter for father's day. Second hand but seems good and still in production. Does 20miles on a charge.

I think the idea is to drive it too fast around the town, forcing people off the pavement and bashing into their trolleys in the supermarket. Or drive it on the road and create a massive tailback.
At least that seems to be what they use them for round here. Looks like loads of fun.

it is transportable to a point but you probably would be better with ramps as its heavy even with batteries out and seat off and biggish.
Got full suspension i believe and were marked down to do 20 mpc. can take a load of 21.5 stone too.
no idea what batteries are like tho yet. its stuck in my kitchen so i will need to find a place to site it
