    I blame Mr. McPherson.

You leave his struts out of this.
“Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio”

As it was a wonderful warm day I decided on a mini tour of the Suffolk coast roads to bed in the new rubber,
Fortunately it seems tyre manufacturers have stopped using so much release agent in the rubber, which meant I could get a shift on straight away with out feeling like the bike was on ice.
The new rear sprocket makes 3rd gear 80mph power wheelies a doddle now.
    Gratuitous pic from today..

Got some fancy new gloves as well..

I took my car round to Home Bargains earlier, I wanted an emulsion brush and some dog treats. It's only about three miles there and back, might use the pushbike next time.

There's a B&M about six miles away, I pop in there when I visit B&Q as they're on the same retail park (don't go very often though). Got a PoundStretcher nearby too, they have some useful stuff.

I was going to start a new thread but I think I'll add this here.

Does anyone have experience of the Porsche Panamera, in particular the 4.0 Turbo S from 2017 onwards? If not that model then any petrol PDK model.

The new business is starting to pay some handsome dividends and I'm thinking that I rather fancy one. Budget will be £80k and I won't be doing much mileage as most of my work will be from home (aside for some lovely and fairly regular trips to North Aberdeenshire) so the fact it does less than 20mpg won't matter, and frankly I don't expect to run this car on anything approaching a shoestring.

A brand new Porsche dealership has just opened up about ten minutes from my house in Norwich so local service isn't a problem, although if anyone knows of a decent independent Porsche garage this way then do say. The E-Hybrid is a fantastic car, but the full fat version is out of my price range, so that'll be next (if I like the Turbo S of course).

I had my eye on this one, although it's now sold although I really want to get some thoughts and tips from owners before dumping half a house's worth of cash on a car.

This one is also rather nice. Whatever I choose I don't want one in black (yes I know that's a girlie thing to say, but black cars always look filthy dirty, and there's a lotta shit on the roads in Norfolk!).

I'm specifically going for sub 30k as the PDK gearbox needs fluid changes every 30k according to many Porsche specialists, even though Porsche themselves say 60k. Buying one at under 30k means that I can immediately change the trans fluid and have the 'box recalibrated, and then do it every 25k instead - I'm always finicky about slightly cautiously servicing cars.

Other than the box fluid I can't really find any common issues with the Panamera on the web, so I thought I'd ask here just in case.
