    White is a cool colour.

The Saint drove white cars. And Bond in 'The Spy Who Loved Me'.

Black would also be cool on that car but it depends on the car. It can look like trying too hard to be cool.

Silver just looks like you are a rep in a fleet car. Silver only looks good on classics or high end sports cars.

Audi orange can be cool but only on a classic Audi.

The trouble with car styling is now with most models you have to look at the badge to see who made it. Safety and fuel economy have killed styling. Modern cars can look quite dramatic like this Toyota but they are not easy on the eye.

It's a personal taste thing.... I don't like white because I like to clean and polish my cars, so that they positively GLEAM, and with white (unlike black, for example), it never looks truly shiny as you don't get much reflection.

Also, if I'm not choosing black (and personally I think black would've been the wrong colour for Grant's car), I prefer something that's striking, stands out and has a bit of a 'wow factor'. White, for me, does the opposite and simply blends, rather invisibly, into its surroundings.

That's why I prefer darker, metallic colours, which act like a mirror when they're polished, especially when you get the car professionally detailed! Gun-metal grey, for me, (or perhaps a deep burgundy red) would've been the one: classier and more sophisticated.

Anyway, the most important thing is that Grant enjoys his new car and it helps get him out and about more, so in that respect mate, I wish you all the best and many years of safe, happy and trouble-free motoring

For that kind of money I'd rather build a big garage, fill it with some of my favourite bikes and a couple of cars (one for shopping, one for fun), Oh and build a half million pound house next to it. Then retire on what money's left.

Does it show the 6 tonnes of C02 produced in building it and its component parts? That's roughly the same as running a 1.4 petrol Golf for 5 years.
    Green?

If the govt are happy with the figures then fine. not sure what your problem is quite frankly. several times youve complained about me getting this car... yet there was a 6.3 gas gobbler on earlier you never mentioned anything. odd that.

Maybe because the 6.3 litre gas guzzler doesn't pretend to be something it isn't, and people aren't being coerced (conned) into buying them under the pretence of saving the planet. Remember 10 years ago when we were told the same about diesels? Oops.

I'd guess most people buying hybrids do so for the fuel economy. The virtue signalling aspect is just a bonus for those who get off on that sort of thing.

I've seen people with class D amps banging on about how they are saving the planet. But it's not the reason they bought them.

Obviously the sales pitch will include the 'green' angle. They are going to use any advantage, real or just perceived, to sell the thing. Just like with any product.
