Took car out for a short run to see if my legs would be ok.. didnt want to waste petol either. Walking in and out of car was difficult but driving was actually less painful than sitting in my chair. There were not many cars about for a sunny sunday, so i think folk are protecting their supply somewhat.
cant wait for tablet time tho

Bikes both sorted for fuel. Went down to local Tesco, where there was no diesel but still some unleaded. Put 10 litres of the posh stuff (still E5) into the Fireblade, then back home, returning with Anita's Aquila 650 to do the same.
I just dropped in, to see what condition my condition was in

    Crikey!
I'm a decimal point away from that, and not in the good direction.

just had a test drive in an ev.. this was brought on as ive hurt my leg and wont by looks of it be driving far for forseable future. the 20 mi dive to the edge of edinburgh was proof that about as far as im gonna get i think. so sadly im gonna have to cancel my new qashqai as its too big and expensive for pottering about in, and it wont do car any good either,

Thats a real shame Grant. Hope the leg gets better soon.

Not sure an EV would fair very well not being used either?

One thing I would say though, is do you really need to own a car? If you look at the number of journeys you do and length, it might be cheaper and easier to use taxis locally, with trains added if youre going any distance. There are also some car sharing schemes around, not sure if you have any near you.

Im giving up my daily driver now I am home-based and will use my Land Rover for pottering locally and to the station to get trains when I need to.
