Ok so I took the fairing to Fastline last week, and they do have a "smart repairs" guy that they use. Price will be £275, and he's aware of the pearlescent paint which was my main concern. It'll be about 2 weeks, then all I'll want is a new chain/sprocket to get me back on the road Maybe by then the summer will have started.

I will post a couple of before/after pics FWIW, as they aren't likely to be as clear as the ones Jon posted of his KTM.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

I've just had a poke around their site - some bargains there, I saw a Shark helmet (I like Shark) in a colour to suit the 'Blade. Good discount too. A bit annoying as I don't need a helmet just now

    You always need another helmet
I've got 2 Shark helmets and love them a lot. Great if you wear glasses.

    Not sure why Jon, unless:

    (a) You're a single guy hoping to bag off while out and about on your bike, or

    (b) You're Zaphod Beeblebrox

Yes I can see the sense in that, though I only have the one bike. Anyway, the next proper purchase will probably be a replacement can - something by Yoshi or Two Brothers Racing appeals to me, but I'm open to alternatives
