Out of interest, is there anything I can put in the fuel tank to help reduce the emissions for the MOT?
I will be adding some Total Super diesel or whatever it is called. I have two months to sort it out, so time to get a couple of tanks in.
It is about the only decent fuel within my usual travels.

The air filter is about 6 months old, the glow plugs are fairly new.

An injector cleaner might help, also an oil/filter change and new air filter just before the test.

Car was serviced (by me) a few months ago.
I will try the add in products before going down the terraclean route.
I hope this is the last CT I do with this car, although with so little points to sort, it would be daft getting rid of it.
It could need new injectors, as it has done 230,000 km.

Years ago I used the Broquet Fuel Catalyst in a car when leaded petrol was phased out. Not only did it run happily on unleaded (the reason I bought it) but it ran quieter, more smoothly, stopped ‘pinking’ and when I last had it MOT’d, the tester repeated the emissions test twice as he couldn’t believe how low its emissions were!

Works with tractor fuel as well, apparently, so might be worth a go.
