XPeng and another manufacturer in China I can't remember who are the only ones that come close to proper battery management to max out range and usability, Xpeng FSD is better, there is a video of one driving itself across a major city in busy traffic for 30 minutes, amazing stuff.
Listening is the act of aural discrimination and dissemination of sound, and accepting you get it wrong sometimes.

Many of the newer cars don't come with any sort of spare wheel. If you're lucky they'll give a you a can of something to squirt into the tyre which it's claimed will fix most tyres until they're taken to a tyre repair shop. Won't help against more serious problems, or vandals slashing tyres though.

A recent quote for replacement disk pads (and what else?) from a local Halfords for a Hyundai i10 is not too much under £400 - around £370 I think.

Reason for asking - unexplained noise - seemed to be road related, rather than engine related.

Not my car, and probably will need to be done anyway, but explanation of what the issue is, and whether a proper inspection has been carried out, seems to be lacking.

Simply saying "we couldn't hear any noise" doesn't seem like a good diagnostic test. In these wild parts probably no sensible alternatives, but in a town or city with more providers I'd be looking at others.
