“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

    Great pics Justin!
“Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio”

    Some outstanding vehicles there.

Saw a mint condition Supra on the way to work this morning. 'P' reg. Must be worth a few quid. Surprised he was driving it about in rush hour in the rain.

Amazing collection - is it a private one? Struggling to find much online about it.

Agree on the Lambretta, though I was a Vespa lad myself. Loved the Opel GT - they were a "Mini Corvette" - designed by the same guy I think. Looks like the only Ferrari they've got is that 308 GTS? Surprised only the one, given how many Porsche & Jags. Still a very nice collection, and thanks for sharing.

I did have an Audi A1 40 Tfsi on order but found it hard to justify 25K on a car i’ll use once a week to go shopping in, so…

bought this on bit of a whim. I mean, who doesn’t love a fast Ford?

Already ordered a full Milltek exhaust, bigger intercooler and a mate will map it for me.
I was trying to keep up with my brothers brand new E350 AMG Merc today on the journey back and it showed 16MPG.
    Just perfect

    Superb photos Justin,
takes me back to Glasgow's old Transport Museum...

The new Zaha Hadid designed one has none of the character of the old place.
Cool building though...but completely misses the point.
Cars are on the wall...but you can "browse" them on interactive screens.
(might as well log onto a website somewhere and read about them)

    Naa,
give me the old place where you could look inside the cars, get a real feel about them.
