You can stick your big turbo diesels where the sun does not shine...

    .
I wonder how many times you can do that before the battery runs low and you end up sat in a service station for an hour whilst it charges up again? I'm guessing not many.

Some of the better ones are self-charging. Still wouldn't entertain one, though. I'll take a Porsche 911 (for it's looks and reasonably mentalist speed), or a Bugatti Chiron, for the former and its off-the-scale speed!!

Yes, that's a lot more expensive, but it would also be a LOT more fun! Hey baby, lemmie hear your ROAR!!

Still quite slow by some standards. I have actually seen a car do 0 to 100mph in 0.25 seconds.

This isn't much slower than that electric abomination, but is a *proper* sports car:

So ok the Tesla goes quick off the line in a straight line, but is it fun to drive? I'll take an Ariel Atom please.

Yeah, one of those, too! Realistically, only a fanny (with more money than sense, or not enough to buy something proper), certainly not a true petrol head, would buy one of those electric abominations.
