Everyone I know who drives an electric or a hybrid does so for the cheaper mileage. Nothing to do with protecting the environment either.

If you brought a car out that ran on baby seal blood people would buy them if they thought it would save them a few quid.

id say thats wrong on both counts overall. but it wasnt the point of the article anyway. it was that people are being misled on several points, and govts are making laws on wrong assumptions....again!

Maybe someone could give a piece of advice about air compressors. I'm looking for one, would like to know your opinion about one mentioned in this article about best 12v air compressor.

If you're planning anything that requires longish periods of use, you do best to get a compressor with a tank and water bleed. If it's just for inflating things, any decent automotive tyre type will do.

just beware most of these small 12v non tank compressors are slowish, and wont reseal a flat that has lost its wall seal. you need a bigger tank type.
the 12v ones lidl sell are usually very good for money and was kept in my boot in my old car. i also have a bigger tank type in my shed which will run air tools and has water trap etc, which i bought years ago in aldi..(although not non stop). alas i dont use it now due to health

    Waiting for this to arrive:

250 watt 36 volt front hub e-bike conversion kit to bung on one of my bicycles. Unbranded, but from a (supposedly) reputable seller. Should be fun and needs no licence, tax or even insurance (but I may consider it). It's certainly a cheap way to get about.

Amazing car, just a shame it looks like a Vauxhall Cavalier.
