I went for the F1's a while back mate, mostly because they were about seventy quid cheaper for a set at the time. Think you'd struggle to get a fag paper's worth of difference between them on the road tbh. Very happy with the F1 though. Had the winters on the past few months, be nice to get the F1's back on this weekend though, the winters are ok, but the F1's grip is phenomenal.

Yeah Ali, I agree. Both are superb, but the PS 4S seems to really suit my car, and are notably quieter than the F1s [could be a Merc thing], which is important to me, and the only area where I could detect a meaningful difference

Yup, (but only as rears), hence the comparison

They were great, and so you're right to rate them so highly, but defo noisier (at least on my car) than the PS 4S. And aside from the growl from the quad sports exhausts, I like a quiet ride [ahem]

Good to get some real world comparisons. Might try 4S next time, though it might be a long time, lucky if the Beemer does 20 miles a month on average now.

Yeah, I know, but that'll soon change when things get more back to normal, and you'll be running around the country again!

Aside from the noise factor, there's hardly a baw hair between them, mate. 4S may also have the edge on wear, but it's minimal, and in term of grip and 'feel'/feedback from the road, the 4S gives away little to the Supersports, but if you really push things (on the right road), then the Supersports have it in terms of 'fun factor'.

However, as I rarely drive like that, preferring mostly just to cruise along effortlessly on main roads, although sometimes corner at speed, or accelerate hard in the wet, the 4S give me the confidence to do that safely and securely, as well as offering a comfy and quiet ride, for low-profile performance designs, so highly recommended

Still business as usual for me mate, just that I’m not self employed like I was when I bought the car, so now it sits at home as I have a company car. I’m only home at weekends, so it just gets a run to keep it exercised, not good for them to sit unused.

Well, that's good news you're job's not been affected, and also your own car's no longer getting hammered!

When you're off or on holiday then, take it for a nice run, as it's the ideal car for touring and driving long distances. Have you ever taken a car abroad? I love it, touring France, Italy, Germany, etc.

Test it out on the Autobahn, in the areas where there are no speed limits - great fun, especially when you're doing 150mph in the 'fast lane', and a 911 is up your arse, tooting you to shift!!
