Yeah, sure, anything's possible, but at least with YT videos you can judge the man behind the words, and what he's about/his credentials, far more than a faceless entity posting on a review site. Just my opinion.

Car MOT is due in a few days and checking the mileage I see I've done less than 700 miles in the last year. Not worth having it serviced. I didn't bother last year either, as it had a main dealer full service about 1500 miles previously. I just got the MOT guy to give it a once over and change oil & filter (which won't need changing this time around). I'll check the alternator belt, but that was fine last time I looked. Not worried about keeping up the service history, as the car is not exactly worth a fortune now being seven years old.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

dont think i managed 700 this last year. maybe 4/500 tops. not sure tho. car is still very low mileage so if im not able to go look at cars i might take this one for another year. it is a nice motor.

Yeah - sure - like you can tell that all the politicians you see on TV are telling the truth, or what they really believe!

Of course in the case of our lord and master he looks so incompetent some of the time that you are more inclined to trust and believe him.

Re cars - despite everything probably still managed maybe 4-5k in the last 12 months in several vehicles.

Re tyres - let the tyres go so flat on one that I didn't think it would make it to even the nearest garage to pump one of them up without trashing it on the 2-3 mile drive, so I bought one of these.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0030FBSQ2/ bit cheap and cheerful, and may go wrong, but the tyres are now much more solid and should be possible to drive out to do more adjustments/top ups if needed.

Are you still holding out as an anti-vaxxer, or have you succumbed?

I'm not an anti-vaxxer - and we have now had the first doses. The only agreement I have with anti-vaxxers is regarding compusion to do things if the people concerned have serious and justified concerns - such as they might have allergic reacations.

Sorry if the message went astray, and I worded my concerns badly.

I think the significant thing is that we each need to think about what we do, but that doesn't mean we should refuse to be vaccinated without good reasons.
I do realise that there is then an issue about who decides what are "good" reasons.

yes, but the key word was 'mandatory' i think. no-one wants to be forced to get something(held down and jagged etc), unless of course they are proven to be killing people by not getting it, like mary mallon, aka typhoid mary. his dad has had his so its not he is anti

Indeed, and I was slightly apprehensive about having the jab myself, as I suspect I'd had bad reactions to previous flu vaccinations. This one was trivial - so trivial that I even wonder if it worked!

sure i get that. i am too to an extent. i think i will be fine as older folk have less reactions apparently. son and daughter had nothing from first. daughter felt shitty after her second, but just for one day, and was jabbed again after 3 weeks. she was one of first to get it

Had mine yesterday, feel like crap and I can hardly move my arm.
