I may have to accept that there may never be one, and sell the wretched thing at a massive loss.
Dave have you checked the boot rubbers are not damaged in some way, I know from previous cars water finds it way in easily. Jaguar RFs are notorious for the same, my friends would end up with 2 inches of water in the boot. I fixed it with some sealant where the rubbers allowed water to get in. Our old Honda Jazz had a water issue in the boot, I removed the boot seal, and one boot hinge at a time, after carefully cleaning everything off with alcohol and drying off I sealed under the hinges and bolts with the sealant and refitted the rubber seal with sealant, the boot has been bone dry for over 2 years. This is known issue on a Jazz as well.

I guess I’ll have to look into the water ingress issue soon. This has been a problem with previous cars, but I didn’t expect it for a car less than 3 years old. It’s a real pain, and I only just noticed it. At this stage I’m not sure whether the water is coming in from above or below.

Lots of info on this thread https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/thre...b-boot.196597/ it may help you identify the issue, personally I would get Tesla service to resolve the issue it should be under warranty.

build quality is certainly suspect in the teslas, and after sales service is too or so im told. a lot of chinese cars will be heading to our market soon i think and this may become more prevalent.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

I have never had a problem with water leaking into the boot on any of the cars I have owned (including a Daimler 'Double Six'). The build quality of new cars must be lower than it once was - I know car manufacturer's are doing all they can to cut costs: no longer providing a proper spare wheel for example.

With modern cars the emphasis seems to be on technology and styling, with solid engineering taking a back seat.

They come without a back seat as well!?
I love Hendrix for so many reasons. He was so much more than just a blues guitarist - he played damn well any kind of guitar he wanted. In fact I'm not sure if he even played the guitar - he played music. - Stevie Ray Vaughan

You can get Smart cars with four seats. But I wouldn't want to be in the back.
