Another vote for Adrian Flux. They specialise in insuring classic, modified and kit cars. My daughter's boyfriend has recently finished a five-year restoration of a Mk1 Toyota MR2, and wanted to tax and insure it. He called Adrian Flux, and was able to print off the certificate of insurance within an hour. The cost to insure a 25year old fully comp on a 1600cc 120bhp mid-engine two seater with no no-claims bonus (it's a second car)?

Pretty good, I thought, especially since he's paying twice that for a beat-up old Citroen Xsara with a major on-line insurance company.

You can only do that when the V5 has your name and address on it, registered with the DVLA
