    Default Granite DIY speakers

These are my 20mm thick angola black granite speakers with volt woofers and scanspeak woofers.

They are ported on the bottom.

They took me about a month to build. Cost me about £1000 in materials and components.

They were designed by a friend in the know.

They weigh about 50kg for each speaker and 50kg for each stand. They stand just over 1m tall.

    Thanks for looking

Don't know what they sound like but they sure do look good! Most impressive.

    Wow! They look good.

I hope you sort out speaker placement quickly - you'll need treatment for at least one hernia if you need to move these around too much.

I bet they've got a heck of a lot of damping on the inside?

    Amazing looking things anyway!

WOW, they are real lookers and with Volt & Scanspeak drivers installed they should sound very decent indeed...

They certainly look the business. I wouldn't have wanted to be the rep dem'ng them to dealers if you ever went into production. However, since we are neighbours, maybe we can get together after August when I am back from the Sunshine for a swift one or two
