    Hi Dave

Having had Opioids myself several times in hospital and at home to cope post heart op, my experience is that it can take quite a few weeks for them to leave your system fully. Also if you have had an operation, I was told for every hour you are under anaesthetic it will take a week to loose the effects. I was under fo 6 weeks and felt pooh for 8 weeks.

If you have been given Tramadol, if they have not advised you it is best to ween yourself off over 2 weeks, so for example if on 3 tabs a day, remove one for 5 days, then drop another for 5 days and then another for 5. Hoepfully will suffer withdrawal and paranoia less. By the way they are much stronger than you may realise, I was on 3 * 15mg a day, and went out walking a dog and a chap came up to me and asked how I was doing, I blanked him and told him I did not know him, I actually had known him for 10 years, I think I was another planet.

    Hope you recover soon.

    Cheers

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

Not logged in for an age, but just wanted to send my best Dave.

I'm still in Wales and still planning on moving (one day) near to your neck of the woods - so hopefully one day I can pop in to say hello.

    Take care old bean

Thanks for all your help and advice , Dave.
The Croft Integrated arrived yesterday. Not much listening time as yet, but impressed with what I’m hearing so far.
Glad I’d read up about reversing the speaker cables at the speaker end. Though, I’m not convinced that I would have heard any difference had they been wired ‘conventionally’.
I just need to stop myself fiddling about with the stock valves!!

So glad you are enjoying your Croft Integrated and hope it gives you many years of great listening.

TBH I often forget to reverse the polarity of the speakers but it's no biggie and often depends on the recording if you can hear it at all.
