What beautiful, happy dogs doing lovely doggy things.
Also a shamefully tardy thanks for the get well messages, very kind. I was having problems walking, getting weaker and finally unable to even stand. I've had problems with my digestion for years and it transpires I have Ischemic Colitis which is poor blood flow to the intestines which over time causes scar tissue to form and reduce absorption of nutrients from food. This has resulted in my body, attempting to keep me alive has been using my muscles as a source of energy therefore making me progressively weaker. I'm now on a high protein diet and medication for life and lots of rehab to get back on my feet. I can only thank the fantastic nurses, doctors and all the staff of the NHS, amazing people.

the cat in red dwarf... You'd never get a cat to be a servant. You ever see a cat return a stick? "Hey, man. You threw the stick, you go and get it yourself, I'm busy. If you wanted the stick so bad, why'd you throw it away in the first place?"

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

    Hey Ian

Sorry to hear you've been unwell. Sounds like you are heading in the right direction however. I'll pop over to say hello when you are home, feel well enough and we are allowed to socialise again. Take care mate.
