    I had a pair of HSM with some very nice caps and cable. They are fantastic speakers.
    J.Wood intergrated, Electrocompaniet EMC1up, Snell Ci. Harmonic and Chord cables.

    The plinth was a rushed first attempt and only made with £20 sheet of ply wood, I always intended to get some Birch ply and do a better job but this looked OK in the end and sounded good so I just left it alone.
    I do like the 401 in a plinth where the plinth is flush with the top of the 401 and I like the look of Walnut so maybe I will make another attempt when time permits.

    Alan ~ thats amazing that plinth was built with a £20.00 worth Ply, i would really like to try a Aluminium/Ply/Aluminium sandwich one day,
    ala Roksan Upgrade Plinth style.

    Yes that would look very nice indeed, I always fancied a clearaudio deck that had an Alu / ply sandwich it looked superb IMO
