Coincidentally, I'm waiting for the DVD to arrive.

I've also been on the lookout for 'Klute' on DVD at a sensible price, they seem to start at around a tenner generally, but I'll hold out for a cheaper one 'cos I'm a skinflint!

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

Work colleague gave me a few DVDs he doesn't want anymore:

Includes all the Bonds up to 'Quantum Of Solace', wasn't so bothered by the rest of them but he insisted if I wanted the Bonds I had to take the lot. God knows where I am going to put them, my DVD storage is already overflowing.

T/T: Inspire Monarch, X200 tonearm, Ortofon Quintet Blue. Phono: Project Tube Box CD: Marantz CD6006 (UK Edition); Amp: Musical Fidelity A5 Integrated.
Speakers: Zu Omen Def, REL T9i subwoofer. Cables: Atlas Equator interconnects, Atlas Hyper 3.0 speaker cables

    T'other system:

I've already got the first three Bourne films though. There's a lot of duplicates to stuff I already have plus some stuff I have no interest in (like 'Game Of Thrones').

Some films in amongst them that I quite like but not enough to have spent money on getting them, like 'Independance Day' and 'Last Action Hero.'

Might do a Partidge-style Bond marathon at some point this winter.

I have no Bond DVDs. Plenty of Bogart and the like. (was there a "like"?, probably not )

I had two Bond DVDs but 'Spy Who Loved Me' went missing somewhere so only had 'You Only Live Twice' before I got this haul.

No Bogart in this lot as bloke I got them from is only a youth but I already have 'The Big Sleep', 'Key Largo' and 'The Maltese Facon' which I think are the three essential Bogarts.

Was never that keen on 'The African Queen'.

That's the one I'm not fond of either.
