For me the larger RAMs are where it's at, though. You gotta have a bit of power and scale
Rock on , I have my pair singing now

How do they compare to the JBLs?
    Current Lash Up:

    TEAC VRDS 701T > Sony TAE1000ESD > Krell KSA50S > JM Labs Focal Electra 926.

LS3/5a are one of those rare speakers, ime, that mate really well with a small subwoofer.
The synergy is quite amazing - power and scale in abundance, quite beyond expectations, while retaining what the little speaker excels at.

(I think the RAMs are better in the bass, the Spendors have the midrange advantage, which fits better with my musical tastes.) That said, I will be having a swap round I think, as I've not played them in a while.
RAM 150s installed in main listening room... Wonder if the missus will notice - took her about a month last time I swapped something around!

Difficult to tell how they compare to the SP1s as I'm playing new music, but I'll have a bit more of a play later with familiar stuff. They still sound mighty fine, the extra oomph of the ABR is apparent in the bass.

Now, if only they had some badges!

They've been in before, but never made a long appearance! The interest William has been showing in the speakers is a major factor - the covers on the RAMs seem a bit more protective than the Spendors, and (rightly or wrongly) the RAMs are worth about 10% of the SP1s - so if a driver does get poked it would be less of a disaster...

Glad to hear the RAMs are sounding good - I've passed up pairs of these on more than one occasion but wondered if I was missing something - it appears I was.

So, come on then, who's ever seen a pair of the fabled STL4s?
