Default It's like hifi but not as we know it Jim

Cycling home I missed seeing some object in the road and there was a a hell of a *clonk* as I hit it with my front wheel, probably the edge.
All seemed ok to start with but then the tyre lost pressure - damn

I carry a spare tube so changed the tube, getting nicely dirty from the road dirt on the wheel.

Changed, pumped up and off....Hang on. This feels different
Sort of softer, but still firm, more grip ?, nicer ride ?
Hey all I did was change the tube, but this is definitely a different experience.
Cycled another 8 miles or so and still it seemed the same, IE good/better
This is a Raleigh not expensive from Evans mail order

Are tubes for bikes the equivalent of mains cables or supports for hifi ?
Today it still feels good and just that bit 'nicer' than before
Maybe when I burn it in it will be even better

Spare tubes are always handy. Try N.O.S. Mullards.

Is it a single ended bike?
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

    Think you mean NOS Mudguards....
    SE is usually unbalanced...
A smooth supply seems to render a fluid performance, usually after closing time...

    You can't beat a Class A velocipede.

Check your bearings don't need new cones.

The grip and ride changed due to tire pressure differences a 1/4 pound difference will have profound effects ask any NASCAR driver.

Maybe my Crud mudguards have become super adjusted and slippery through the air.
Perhaps if I walk it back a bit.......
Maybe I became a super cyclist changing the tube ...
