Ad Attack
I don't mind the odd static ad on a webpage, it is de riguer these days but what really gets my goat are pop-ups, and just lately they are everywhere on AoS. I have a policy, if there are masses of pop-ups on a website I don't visit it again and I know many others who share that philosophy. If AoS wants to remain popular and relevant then I suggest that whatever changes have been made are reversed, and quickly. These ads still appear even though the pop-up blocker is activated on my browser and I absolutely refuse to download a third party app after a horrendous experience last year.
Here's a prime example, why the hell is the word 'download' highlighted in my post???
Here's a thought: If I had just discovered AoS today the sheer quantity of pop-ups would have put me off signing up...

Think you've got a problem there Dave . I don't get any pop ups at all when I'm on AOS . if I remember properly someone else here had this problem recently , Andre I think it was . One of the computer boffins on here was able to help him out . Good luck , there's nothing more annoying.

I've never had to use anything of the sort because until now I have not needed to.

Well I'm confused Dave, not a single pop up at all either here (home) or on my laptop at work when I logged in earlier today and I'm not running any software to block anything
Sounds like you may have some ad malware?

I am not getting any pop ups, using google chrome on one laptop and Microsoft internet explorer on my backup unit

Agree, never had pop ups on AOS. Maybe you have some malware?

No pop ups here either - have you downlaoded / inadvertantly had a 'browser/helper' placed into your search engine?
Sounds like a bit of Spybot / Malware bytes action is needed.
